Katherine F.H. Heart, GPC, M.Ed.provides grant services including funder research, project development, proposal writing and reporting for nonprofit and government agencies seeking grants from foundations, corporations, United Way, and local, state and federal government. She also prepares Concept Papers, Requests for Proposals (RFP) and bid documents. Katherine presents grant training seminars for proposal writers and grant teams. She has 14 years of grants experience, earned the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential, and was the first person selected as a GPA Approved Trainer by the Grant Professionals Association. She is Founding President of the GPA-Western PA Chapter. Her company is a participating organization in national public health initiatives, and Katherine is a federal grant reviewer for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In 2015, Heart Resources, LLC produced grant applications that were awarded $5,125,628 to support: at-risk youth education and workforce development; child and teen literacy and technology programs; public information services at a corrections facility; historic landmark building renovations; and general operations. Katherine presented 11 grant training seminars for 200 individuals from 104 regional nonprofit agencies and 46 independent contractors. Heart Resources, LLC provided sponsorship to: GPA-Western PA Regional Conference; The Authors Zone (TAZ) Conference; and People's Oakland Turtle Team.
Heart Resources, LLC is a registered Professional Fundraising Counsel by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations.
