Katherine F.H. Heart, GPC, M.Ed., President has earned the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential, and was the first individual to receive designation as an Approved Trainer by the Grant Professionals Association. She was Founding President of the GPA-Western PA Chapter, and author of Grantepreneur(TM): Getting Started in a Grant Career and Business will be published by Red Engine Press in 2016.
Last year our services produced grants totaling $5,125,628 for at-risk youth education and workforce development, child and teen literacy and technology programs, public information services at a corrections facility, historic landmark building renovations, and operations. Katherine presented grant seminars to 200 individuals from 104 organizations. Heart Resources, LLC was a business sponsor of the GPA-Western PA Regional Conference, TAZ Conference, and People's Oakland Turtle Team.
Revenue planning and development for complex programs and projects requiring multiple funders
In-depth research to identify and monitor grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, United Way, and local, state and federal government
Develop, write and prepare pre-proposals (Concept Papers, Letters of Inquiry), grant proposals, online applications, and reports for programs, capital projects and operations
Technical assistance and troubleshooting for government submissions such as: assessing agency eligibility for RFP; grant team training, workplans and coordination; and writing and editing required documents
