WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED? Katherine is an accomplished project planner and technical writer specializing in grants. She has developed pre-proposal concept papers, reports, Requests for Proposals, and published articles and books. Her skills have earned grants ranging from $1,000 to $10 million dollars. Due to her skill-set with larger projects, her average grant award is nearly $300,000. She works well with agency leaders and staff to craft the best case for support. Quality planning and writing have resulted in awarded grants for: at-risk youth education and workforce development; literacy and STEM activities; public information services for a corrections facility; historic landmark building renovations; community health clinics; health programs and research; infrastructure and general operations. WHAT PROJECTS DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN? Katherine enjoys planning and preparing complex projects involving multiple public and private funders. She is interested in all types of projects, with the most experience in health and human services, and educational programs that help to improve opportunities for people with disadvantages. Katherine is a Federal grant reviewer for child traumatic stress initiatives of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and she was selected to serve as a 2012-13 SAMHSA Voice Awards Fellow.
ARE YOU INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY? Being a mission-driven business means that Katherine (and her sub-contractors) carry out client services in an ethical, socially-responsible manner. We value potential impact over high profits, and projects are prioritized accordingly. We may provide in-kind (non-monetary, pro bono) services and mentoring for early career grant professionals at our discretion.
