Katherine F.H. Heart, GPC, M.Ed., CEO of Heart Resources, LLC has 16 years of experience as a grant consultant and a lifetime of dedicated service to the nonprofit community. She provides comprehensive grant services including overall funding strategy and grant research reports, annual grant goals and submission plans, concept papers, project planning, proposal writing and budget development, attachments, external grant monitoring, and report writing.
She enjoys the challenge of developing complex projects involving multiple public and private funding resources. She is an enthusiastic grant trainer who engages participants in active learning through her proposal coaching approach. She is the author of Grantepreneur, an award-winning grant career and business book.

WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED? Heart Resources LLC has assisted organizations to win grants ranging from $1,000 to $10 million dollars, with an average grant award of nearly $300,000. She works well with agency leaders and staff to craft the best case for support. Quality planning and writing have resulted in awarded grants for: at-risk youth education and workforce development; literacy and STEM activities; historic building renovations; community health clinics and programs; women's health research; capital campaigns for building construction; and operating support. WHAT PROJECTS DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN? Katherine enjoys planning complex projects involving multiple public and private funders. She is interested in all types of projects, with the most experience in health and human services, education and training, workforce development, programs to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and disadvantages, and capital projects. Her past experience as an advocate and the author of TELLINGS enabled Katherine to be selected to serve as a 2012-13 SAMHSA Voice Awards Fellow. She is a federal grant reviewer for behavioral health recovery and traumatic stress initiatives, and is a volunteer judge for the annual Recovery Month Awards and Voice Awards Programs of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
