WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED? In 2015 and 2016, Katherine prepared concept papers and proposals resulting in over $15M in awarded grants for at-risk youth education and workforce development, youth literacy and STEM activities, public information services at a corrections facility, historic landmark building renovations, health research, and nonprofit operations. Katherine presented grant seminars to staff at 236 organizations in Western PA and nationally. Heart Resources, LLC provided sponsorship for a GPA-Western PA regional conference, The Author Zone (TAZ) Conference, and others. Check out our endorsements.
WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS DO YOU PREFER? Katherine specializes in planning and preparing proposals for complex projects and campaigns involving multiple public and private funders. She enjoys writing for all types of projects, and prioritizes public health and mental health proposals as important for quality of life in our communities. She is a Federal grant reviewer for child traumatic stress initiatives with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Katherine was one of eight individuals selected from 40 national candidates to serve as a 2012-13 SAMHSA Voice Awards Fellow.
